An Ode

Radio Announcer: Thank you for tuning in today. We are here in Anyang to celebrate National Poetry Month. In just a moment, the nation's poet laureate,O Sama Bin Laden, will read a poem about a(n) computer. And here is O Sama Bin Laden.
O Sama Bin Laden: Thank you, everyone. This is a very crazy poem I wrote about a(n) computer.
An Ode to a(n) computer
The computer is as big as a(n) building.
It reminds me of small frogs eating.
O, the computer. O, the computer!
What do wild people think when they see you for the first time?
Perhaps they know there are happy days ahead.
O, the computer. O, the computer!
For some, you are inhumane, but for others, you are illogical.
If we are crunching, we pause when we think of you.
May you always kick.
O, the computer. O, the computer!
The end.
Radio Announcer: On behalf of the poets, thank you for crying.

The Wandering Woolly Mammoth

Many, many years ago there lived a woolly mammoth named Jeff. This woolly mammoth was not like the other mammoths. He didn't want to hunt maggots. Even though he had a really bigtiny coat of hair, he hated the cold. He dreamed of living in warmer places.
One day, his dream came true. He thought he took a short winter's nap, but when he awoke, almost all the ice around him was gone, and he was surrounded by grass and tails. He had hibernated for16487478565165964816518641165484652165 years!
Jeff decided to go explore his new neighborhood. Where his cave used to be, now there was a(n) 1-story building with smelly windows and disgustingdoors!
He tried to get inside, but the doorman wouldn't let him in, saying, “No humanallowed!”
He didn't know what human were, but he knew he was afraid of them.
Feeling a bit confused, he wandered around until he saw a sign that said “Zoo.” It smelled like his friends, so he decided to punch in. He found a section called lizards, and they seemed to be very friendly animals, so he made himself right at home. The zookeepers discovered him, and they were happy to see him. They brought him big buckets of pumpkinslettuses, andcarrots. He finally felt at home!

  1. Very weird! I like the Osama poem. Sometimes poetry is more poetic when it doesn't make any sense, and cruching frogs definitely don't make any sense at all. Good pictures!
